JANUARY 2026

January 16th - Following on from two defeats in our first two fixtures of 2026, it felt good to pick up our first victory of the new year this afternoon. We played against Mackie BC at Adur, we won the match 66 - 59 and we also won on three of the four rinks played today.

Bowling in our winning rinks were:

Jenny Hughes, Sarah Fowle, Bob Page and Skip Dave Hoggen.

Marion Hoggen, Geoff Clifford/Hilary Leggett, Brian Bulmer and Skip David Goodman.

Barbara Velardo, Steve Harris, Ivan Parnell and Skip Roy Webb....A special mention for Roy and his team who came back from being 12 - 1 down to win their rink 14 - 13.

January 9th - Our most difficult Indoor fixtures of the winter season tend to be our matches with Roger Provost's Adur team because the majority of their bowlers play indoors throughout the year.

We bowled against Adur this afternoon and were beaten 53 - 84. We won on one of the four rinks played today and bowling in our winning rink were:

Barbara Velardo, David Bowden, Mike Watts and Skip David Goodman.

January 2nd - We played our first match since 12th December this afternoon at Adur IBC and it's probably fair to say that most of us were a bit rusty! Our opponents were Worthing Pavilion BC and they won the match with the final score being 54 - 64. Congratulations to Pavilion who also won on three of the four rinks we played.
